2019 FIA MOTORSPORT GAMES

Team France within a hair’s breadth of a medal!

This weekend, the circuit of Vallelunga, close to Rome, hosted the first-ever FIA Motorsport Games, an « Olympic Games» of motorsport, including six categories: GT Cup, Touring Car Cup, Drifting Cup, F4 Cup, Karting Slalom Cup and Digital Cup. As well as the ‘French’ car,  Team AKKA-ASP was also running the Team China car, also Mercedes-AMG GT3, driven by Yaqi Zhang and Xiaole He for Phantom Pro Racing Team.

The next day, the competition got underway, with two free practice sessions.  On Saturday morning, two qualifying sessions set the grid for the two qualifying races, which took place on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning, each one hour long.  The one-hour Main Race, on Sunday afternoon, would crown the winning crew and the nation they represented …
